What's in the web for family physicians - online CME lectures

This is a good collection of online CME lectures intended for physicians. All lectures are audio or video streamed (Real Player) and are classified according to different specialties. Topics are searchable. The website is membership and fee based, but a three-month trial period is offered free of charge. CME credits obtained are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education in United States.

2. Academy for Healthcare Education

This website is maintained by the Academy for Healthcare Education which is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. The website provides a variety of CME activities and resources covering different therapeutic disciplines. Free user registration is needed for the lectures. Physicians who participate in the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation may apply for CME credits.

3. FP Online CME Lectures

The website hosts a collection of audio and video CME lectures intended for family physicians. Free registration is required for the lectures. Some topics of the lectures include Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Drug Diversion and Abuse, Legal and Ethical Issues affecting Pain Management etc.

The audio and video library of online lectures at this website comprise of Interviews of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) Conferences and Videos on O&G procedures. Video clips on new ultrasound and imaging technology from their sponsors are also hosted.

5. International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM)

In collaboration with Stanford University, ISMRM arranged to have a series of lectures on Imaging available online. These include lectures on Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, and Cardiac MR Imaging. Real Player is needed for the lectures. Some lectures are free, but for some a fee is payable.

7. Online CME lectures in Hong Kong

Local CME lectures in Hong Kong are available on line at the Hong Kong Medical Association website at http://www.hkma.org/english/cme/avcmeset.htm and the Hong Kong Doctors Union CME website at http://cme.hkdu.org/symposium.htm. The CME lectures are free of charge and open to all doctors.
