Update on Higher Training – Case Log Competency requirement (May 2026)
As the revamp has been newly piloted since 2024, BVTS reviewed the training log in ‘Competency and Case log for competence’ for the pilot batch. We would like to thank all higher trainees for their effort, dedication and progress throughout the training.
In order to ensure clear documentation of competency acquired, BVTS has decided to update the “Competency” worksheet. This is to replace the “Competency” worksheet from Activity & Competency Case Log Sheet (version 6, March 2025) excel file for both Higher 1 and Higher 2 trainees. Please note:
1) the minimum number of case required for each content checklist (at column B) (please insert the column B to your current log file for easier reference)
2) No-cross core competency category would be applied for each case. (e.g. if case 1 is I. WORKING WITH FAMILIES, it cannot be applied to another category again.)
3) for the record of “teaching and training by trainee” has been moved to checklist IV instead of under SEP module 8

Please be informed that BVTS is working on Activity & Competency Case Log Sheet to ensure clear documentation while the requirement remains unchanged. It will be available soon in late May. Please stay tuned.
