Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme for Family Doctors
In alignment with the recommendations outlined in the Primary Healthcare Blueprint to enhance primary healthcare-related training for healthcare professionals and promotion of a multidisciplinary approach, the Primary Healthcare Commission of the Health Bureau commissioned the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians to organise the CME Programme for Family Doctors.
This programme targets family doctors listed in the Primary Care Directory, and is designed to equip the participants with up-to-date knowledge and skills to meet the evolving service needs within the primary care landscape. Upon successful registration, participants will enjoy…
Programme Structure and Content
The CME programme consists of a series of Core Modules (CMs), each of which is designed to provide training in key areas of family medicine and/or chronic disease management.

Doctors listed in the Primary Care Directory (PCD) are eligible to attend.

Programme Requirements
To attain a certificate of completion for a core module, participants must:
In additon, for HKCFP members, a "3-2-1 prompt" will follow the MCQs to
facilitate active learning and will be recognised for Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) points. By successfully completing these modules, family
doctors will enhance their knowledge and skills necessary to address the
changing service needs within the primary care landscape. Taking the
opportunity, family doctors who have not yet completed Family Medicine-related
training before may also explore pursuing further study, such as Diploma in
Family Medicine (DFM) or higher qualifications in Family Medicine, to enhance
their ability in providing comprehensive and holistic primary care.
