FHKAM CME/CPD
For HKAM (Family Medicine) fellows, the minimum CME/CPD requirement is 90 points in a 3-year cycle with at least 15 CPD points inclusive. CME/CPD points accumulated in excess of the requirement for one cycle cannot be carried forward to the next cycle.

According to Point 6.1 of the “Principles and Guidelines on Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)” of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, starting from 1 January 2008, no more than 75 points (out of the minimum 90 points CME/CPD requirement) can be awarded for passive participation in a 3-year cycle.

As guided by Point 6 of the “Principles and Guidelines on Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)” of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, activities in Section 4.2 - 4.6, Sections 5.1 - 5.3 and 5.5 of the “Regulations for Award of Certificate of Quality Assurance” of The Hong Kong College of Family Physicians are classified as “Passive Participation”.
